Here is the most recent Science2Art project I worked on with the Storylight Studios team (Bret and Aron) and BioNexusKC team (Shaylee and Jennifer). Every year I get an opportunity to meet some of the best and brightest in the region, and I always find it inspiring and so thankful for where I get to live. The Bionexus KC Sci2Art program and auction raise money and awareness for STEAM education in our region. BionexusKC is one of the elements in our regional life sciences ecosphere that continues to help elevate our region to the bioscience powerhouse that it has become.

I hope you enjoy this year’s video and hearing scientists describe their work through the imagery they see every day.

As a teacher, listen to the way these scientists describe their work. Isn’t this how we want all our learners to speak about their careers? We all know that CTE and STEAM are one and the same, and this is why we must expose all learners to STEAM careers early and give all our students a chance to discover their passions early. Early so they can then make the right choices for their educational journey and develop their talents into a career they will be passionate about.
